Ways to donate

The donation methods described on DFMRT’s official website.

DFMRT accepts online credit and debit card donations through the Give as you Live platform, including Gift Aid where applicable. DFMRT says the platform passes on the donation apart from the card charge and a processing fee, which donors are given the option of paying themselves.

The official donations page lists other ways of giving:

a donation through the team’s Facebook page
a bank transfer by BACS to the team’s Barclays account, held in the name of The Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team CIO
a standing order
sponsorship
a legacy
online shopping through Give as you Live
a cheque payable to DFMRT

DFMRT asks anyone making a bank transfer to give their name and, if eligible, to complete a Gift Aid certificate and send or email it to the team. The team says it will claim Gift Aid where appropriate.

DFMRT says donors can choose not to receive marketing material, but that it will normally send its annual newsletter for a couple of years after a donation unless told otherwise.
