DFMRT says its members are drawn from across the area and come from all walks of life. The team says it benefits greatly from members whose professional skills are used to influence training, such as doctors, teachers, engineers and outdoor instructors.

At the time of its January 2026 website update, DFMRT described a healthy active callout list of 35 male and female members. The team looks to appoint new probationary members twice a year.

Anyone interested in joining is directed to the team’s training information and asked to contact the team secretary.
