DFMRT’s talks, base visits and the local events it attends and marshals.

DFMRT members regularly give talks about the team and its activities to schools, clubs and societies. The team hosts visits to its base by youth groups and usually attends the Millom and Broughton Show, as well as occasional one-off large events in its area.

DFMRT acts as marshals on the Fred Whitton Cycle Challenge, the Keswick-to-Barrow Walk and fell races in its area. The team says it only provides medical assistance at these events when called out by the Police following a 999 call.
